Chord
progressions in gospel music are general easy to get a handle on
in their very basic forms. Things get quite interesting (and exciting
to the ear) when you learn how to arrange your piano chords
(invert, add and subtract notes in each chord) in certain fashions
where the chord progressions create sounds that sound a whole lot more
complex than they actually are to play. It's an art in itself
that you are going to love getting involved with.
For example a simple chord progression is:
Cmaj - Fmaj
- Gmaj - Cmaj. Depending on how this chord progression it is
played, it can sound like it's played by an amateur or it can sound
like the person has been playing for 20 years. The terrific thing? Click here
and you'll be sounding like the latter within a few short weeks
or less.
