  BLUES PIANO

Blues music formed the roots of jazz and rock and roll. To this day, it remains one of the most popular styles to learn and play by the aspiring pianist. And even better news? It's easy to get started learning to play blues piano. You'll catch on quickly, start sounding good pretty quickly, and yes, of course.... you'll have a lot of fun (name of the game).

It's recommended that you become familiar with a few blues chords. In addition, you'll want to start with learning your basic blues scale. This is a pretty interesting scale and you'll learn why as you get more involved learning how to play blues piano.

The basic form of blues songs (or tunes) is called a 12 bar blues. "Bar" refers to a measure. There are 12 measures in a 12 bar blues tune.

It just might be your way to get started. Once you get the ball rolling, you be playing blues on the piano and wonder where the hours went!
